About Deborah

What Moves Me

I've had a lifelong love affair with writing and editing that's never abated, and I don't want it to. I've had the chance to work with some amazingly talented writers and editors in my career who've helped me grow into a collaborative, savvy and strategic communicator. That said, I'm constantly focused on ways to hone my craft and become even better. Win-win for me — and for you.

Born and raised in South Florida, I earned my bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Florida. I met my husband, Sean, at UF. He's my favorite nerd, and a smart one at that. In 2007, we picked up and moved across the country to the beautiful state of Colorado, where we live today with our two adorable yet rambunctious kids. Also, because I can't sit still, I recently finished a master's degree in public relations from Ball State University.

Throughout my career, I've been a news writer, wife, corporate communicator, mom, a freelancer and multitasker extraordinaire (not necessarily in that order). I thrive in fast-paced environments, I'm adaptable with change, and I'm never afraid to dive into projects.

Why should you work with me? It's simple, really: I will shoot straight with you. I'll be transparent. I'll do what I say I'm going to do and make sure you're happy with my work. This is my brand and my life's work, and I want my clients to come back for more. If you think I'd be a good fit for your editorial needs, feel free to contact me directly so we can talk.
